    Re: Boys Region D Playoffs

So.. Things should look like this.

    DI
    1. Castlewood
    2. Hurley
    3. Appalachia
    4. St. Paul
    5. Twin Springs
    6. Twin Valley
    7. Pound
    8. Rye Cove

5 and 6 may swap. I haven't heard who won between TV and Haysi. If TV beat them in the consolation game, then TV is 5 and TS is 6.

    DII
    1. Gate City
    2. Powell Valley
    3. Lebanon
    4. Haysi
    5. Lee High
    6. J.J. Kelly
    7. Coeburn
    8. Honaker

Those are the rankings assuming Haysi won. If Haysi lost to TV, then they fall to 7 with Lee being 4, Kelly 5, and Coeburn 6.

Poor Pound, they make the playoffs but they have to take a trip to scenic Hurley.

They've already made that trip once this year.

    Re: Boys Region D Playoffs

Pound has a shot at Hurley. Probably the best draw they could have got. Glad that PV/JJK avoided each other, I'd like to see the LPD perform well against the other leagues. I think this year proves that it is impossible for a D2 school to get the 1 seed from the LPD, I mean we went 21-2, beat Appalachia ranked top ten in the state twice, beat the BDD champ by 20 ish, and beat GC. Meanwhile, GC gets the 1 seed and an easier path to the state tournament just because they are close to TN and play TN schools in non league games.

    Re: Boys Region D Playoffs

GC only played 3 scheduled games that were against TN schools, South (2) and DB (1). The other 2 TN schools they played were because of Arbys seeding, Chatt. Brainerd and Cherokee. If you think we played South/DB because they were close then you are wrong. We could have played Thomas Walker, Rye Cove, Hurley, or Twin Springs for some wins. Our Record would have looked really good. Know any other team that had OOC games like that?

I personally would rather play South or DB. Heck we lost all 3 but I also think it helps you even if you lose. So I suppose you should penalize a school for playing a tough OOC schedule and not playing a 3 win team and win by 40.....:2thumbsup:

Plus we beat PV, Kelly, Lebanon 3 times.....

I think Coeburn is #5, Lee High is #6, and JJ Kelly is #7.

No, all those are right. Coeburn lost to Twin Springs giving them only 18 points. Kelly won last night, giving them 19. Lee ended with 19 also.
